SEAN DAVID GRAHAM
Dancer and choreographer Sean Graham has been the recipient of the Trailblazers Award (2008) by the Association of Dance of the African Diaspora ADAD, Marion North Choreographer Mentorship Award - Trinity-Laban Conservatoire (2009) and has been a temporary resident artist in partnership with State Of Emergency Ltd and The Bernie Grant Arts Centre (2007).
After touring with one of the pioneers of UK Fusion Jazz (Irven Lewis - Brothers In Jazz) 2003-08, Graham has since gone on to dance with a wide range of companies that have enabled him to utilise and develop his many varied techniques including contemporary, ballet, african, capoeria and hip hop. Companies and choreographers he has worked with include; Luca Silvastrini (Protein Dance), Alesandra Seutin (Vocab Dance), Tony Adigun (Avant Garde Dance), Robert Hylton, Cindy Claes, Bricolage Dance Company (Anna Buonnomo - Italy), Adesola Akinleye and Barrowland Ballet (Scotland).
Graham works inclusively across commercial, urban and theatrical industries. Whilst some of his commercial work includes concert work for the indie band MUSE, music videos for The Saturdays and Sasha Keable, Graham’s theatrical work has been staged at The Southbank Centre, Peacock Theatre, Richmix, Stratford Circus, The Place Theatre, The Royal Opera House, Sadler's Wells and Olympia stadium.
His choreography has also been commissioned for musicals, international jazz and hip hop festivals, novelist/performing artist Gemma Weekes and award winning play writer Fin Kennedy .
Besides his work as a creative and performing artist, Graham has a history of developing projects that work with emerging artists to provide opportunities and partnerships that enhance the access, training and knowledge necessary for their careers' practice. His latest curation, The Collective Solutions Dance Consort CSDC, has engaged over 50 artists that use the Southbank Centre for their practice and development.
One of the outcomes resulted in the curation of the Urban[Re:]Construction showcase, which was staged in the Clore Ballroom at the Southbank centre in front of a full audience and gave 15 artists a fee based opportunity to showcase their work.
For a number of years Graham has taught and lectured for East London Dance, Sadler’s Wells, The University of East London and at the Trinity-Laban Conservatoire.

Sean Graham has been recognised by established institutes and the dance community in various capacities. A choreographer, dancer, word smith and as a producer, his work has spanned over 10 years.
Sean has since worked with several companies of different dance genres, been a lead artist and teacher at leading dance universities and conservertiours. Commisions he has recieved by art hubs include East London Dance, State Of Emergency, Sadler's Wells, Half Moon Theatre and the Royal Opera House.
On the basis of developing career conditions for others, Sean has founded and directed several artist led projects, some of which include partnerships with The Southbank Centre and The University of East London.
As a soloist performer he has performed on the main stage at Hackney Empire, The Lylian Baylis Theatre and at the Royal School of Ballet.
Sean continues to cross boundaries and concepts by battling in urban competitions internationally and maintaining a professional career working with companies such as Barrowland Ballet in Scotland.
