SEAN DAVID GRAHAM
THE SOBER DRUNK
By Sean Graham
Jan 6th 2014 (07:24am)
Punching my drunk sober
Honey moon long over
Layed out sofa
Mash tv meals.
No hours remain payless
I sustain to claimless.
New Deal got Old and too stressed.
Cuts to curve.
And my wounds bleed profusely.
Old - only - remedy
Is to repeat the strategy
More efficiently. Complient.
Doctor once said to his dead client.
This science to living
is acidic. Ain't nothing personal or person specific.
No magic holes to slip it to wonderland, though some take pipes.
Escape, escape the mine landscape.
Alternative mind-scape, mind state.
My state is neither in between nor at an end. Stand still fearing fate.
Looking for white lights to strike my glass house,
Only to bend in its prism.
Create me a rainbow
Before I throw my last stone.
And I will do the rest.
Abide this sober-drunk I have left.
